Season Overview
Under manager Gordon Strachan, Coventry City competed in the FA Premier League during both the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. In 1997-98, the club finished 11th in the Premier League, reaching the FA Cup Quarter-finals and the League Cup Fourth round. The following season, 1998-99, saw Coventry City finish 15th in the Premier League, with cup runs to the FA Cup Fifth round and the League Cup Third round.
Key Players
Key players during this period included striker Dion Dublin, who was the top goalscorer in 1997-98, and attacking player Darren Huckerby. Midfielder Gary McAllister also featured for the Sky Blues. The club's main shirt sponsors from 1997 to 2005 were Subaru and Isuzu.
