Season Overview
Under manager David Moyes, Everton enjoyed a highly successful 2004-05 season, finishing fourth in the Premier League. The club reached the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, where they were defeated by Manchester United. In the League Cup, Everton progressed to the Fourth Round before being knocked out by Arsenal. Their fourth-place league finish secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round for the following season.
Key Players
Key players for Everton that season included midfielder Tim Cahill, who was the top league goalscorer, and defensive stalwart Lee Carsley. Other important contributors were Kevin Kilbane and Duncan Ferguson. The team's kits were supplied by Umbro, and the main shirt sponsor was Chang.
