Season Overview
The 2019-20 season marked Exeter City's 118th year and their eighth consecutive campaign in League Two. Under the management of Matt Taylor, the Grecians finished fifth in League Two, with the final standings determined by a points-per-game basis due to the season's curtailment. Exeter City reached the League Two play-off final, where they ultimately missed out on promotion. The club also had a strong run in the EFL Trophy, reaching the semi-finals, and competed in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Midfielder Nicky Law contributed important goals, while defender Pierce Sweeney was a regular in the squad.
