Season Overview
Following the Calciopoli scandal, Juventus competed in Serie B for the first time in its history for the 2006-07 season. The club started with a nine-point deduction but comfortably finished in first place to secure immediate promotion back to Serie A. Juventus were crowned Serie B champions and were awarded the first-ever Ali della Vittoria cup. The club was eliminated in the third round of the Coppa Italia.
Key Players
Despite the relegation, club legends Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero, Pavel Nedvěd, Mauro Camoranesi, and David Trezeguet all remained with the team. Del Piero finished the season as the top scorer in Serie B with 20 goals. The team was managed by Didier Deschamps, who resigned before the final two matches of the season.
