Season Overview
Kashiwa Reysol, having changed its name from Hitachi SC in 1993, competed in the Japan Football League (JFL) during this period. The club secured second place in the 1994 JFL season, earning promotion to the top-tier J1 League. In their inaugural J1 League campaign in 1995, Kashiwa Reysol finished 12th in the combined standings. Brazilian manager Zé Sérgio led the team for much of this era.
Key Players
Notable players during these seasons included Brazilian international Careca, who joined in 1993 to aid their promotion efforts. Defender Nelsinho and midfielder Kentaro Sawada were also key figures in the squad. Takahiro Shimotaira was another important player, contributing to the team's promotion to the J1 League.
