Season Overview
The LA Galaxy, managed by Bruce Arena, had a strong 2010 Major League Soccer season, winning the Supporters' Shield by finishing 1st in the league standings. They reached the MLS Cup Conference Finals, where they were eliminated. In other competitions, the club competed in the CONCACAF Champions League preliminary round and the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals.
Key Players
David Beckham, wearing number 23, was part of the squad that season, returning from injury for the latter part of the campaign. Key players included Edson Buddle, who was the team's top goalscorer with 17 goals, and Landon Donovan, who led the league in assists. Omar Gonzalez and Donovan Ricketts were also named to the MLS Best XI.
