Season Overview
The 1995-96 season saw Liverpool secure a 3rd place finish in the Premier League, their highest since finishing as runners-up in 1991. The club reached the final of the FA Cup at Wembley, where they were narrowly defeated by Manchester United. In European competition, the team's UEFA Cup campaign ended in the second round. The season also marked the final year for a club legend, with Ian Rush scoring his last goal for the team in the final league match against Manchester City.

Under the management of Roy Evans, the squad was filled with a mix of established talent and emerging stars. Key figures included the prolific young striker Robbie Fowler, who was the league's second-highest scorer, and creative midfielder Steve McManaman.
