Season Overview
The 1994-95 season saw Manchester City finish 17th in the Premier League, securing survival. The team also reached the fifth round of both the FA Cup and the League Cup. However, the following 1995-96 season was one of struggle, and despite a final day draw with Liverpool, the club was relegated from the top flight on goal difference, finishing in 18th place.
Key Players
Brian Horton managed the club for the 1994-95 campaign, before being replaced by Alan Ball for the 1995-96 season. This era featured prolific German striker Uwe Rösler, who was the team's top scorer in both seasons. Other key players during this two-year period included Niall Quinn, Paul Walsh, Nicky Summerbee, and the emerging Georgian talent Georgi Kinkladze.
