Season Overview
Under manager Marco van Basten, the Netherlands competed in UEFA Euro 2008. They were drawn into Group C, often called the "group of death," alongside Italy, France, and Romania. The team performed strongly in the group stage, securing victories against Italy (3-0), France (4-1), and Romania (2-0). The Netherlands advanced to the quarter-finals, where their tournament run concluded with a loss to Russia after extra time.
Key Players
This Nike away shirt carries the name ROBBEN and number 11, worn by Arjen Robben during the 2008 season. Robben was a key attacking player for the squad.
