Season Overview
During the 1998-99 season, Paris Saint-Germain competed in Division 1, ultimately finishing in 9th place. The club saw multiple managers at the helm, including Alain Giresse, Artur Jorge, and Philippe Bergeroo. PSG secured the Trophée des Champions, but exited the Coupe de France in the Round of 32 and the Coupe de la Ligue in the Quarter-finals. In European competition, they were eliminated in the First Round of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
Key Players
The squad featured prominent players such as Italian striker Marco Simone, who was the top goalscorer for the season, and Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha. Goalkeeper Bernard Lama and German defender Christian Wörns were also key figures in the team. The kit for this season was manufactured by Nike.
