Season Overview
Under manager Telê Santana, São Paulo had a highly successful 1993 season. The club won the Copa Libertadores, defeating Universidad Católica in the final to secure their second consecutive title. They also claimed the Intercontinental Cup against AC Milan and the Recopa Sudamericana. São Paulo also won the Supercopa Sudamericana, reached the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil, and finished 4th in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
Key Players
The squad featured several key players, including the influential midfielder Raí, prolific forward Palhinha, and defensive stalwarts Zetti and Cafu. Other notable contributors included Müller and Toninho Cerezo.
