Season Overview
Under manager Craig Brown, Scotland competed in the qualifiers for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The team finished third in a challenging group behind Croatia and Belgium, narrowly missing out on a place in the tournament. Brown resigned from his position in October 2001 following the conclusion of the campaign.
