Season Overview
The 2019-20 season saw Ajax compete across multiple fronts, including the Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Europa League, under manager Erik ten Hag. They began the campaign by winning the Johan Cruyff Shield, defeating PSV Eindhoven. In the Eredivisie, Ajax were at the top of the table when the season was prematurely ended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with no champion awarded. The club reached the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup and participated in the UEFA Europa League after dropping from the Champions League group stage.
