Description

Season Overview

The 1994-95 season saw Cardiff City compete in Division Two, which was then the third tier of English football. The club endured a challenging campaign, ultimately finishing 22nd in the 24-team league and suffering relegation to Division Three. Their managerial situation was particularly turbulent, with Eddie May initially sacked, replaced by Terry Yorath, who was also dismissed, before May was reinstated. In cup competitions, Cardiff City reached the Welsh Cup final, where they were defeated 2-1 by Barry Town. They exited the FA Cup in the First Round after a loss to Enfield and were knocked out of the League Cup in the First Round by Torquay United.

Key Players

During this tumultuous season, Phil Stant was the club's top goalscorer, netting 13 goals in the league and 15 across all competitions. Other notable players in the squad included Nathan Blake, Charlie Oatway, and Jason Perry. The team was managed by Eddie May at the start and end of the season, with Terry Yorath having a spell in charge in between.
