Season Overview
Toluca competed in Mexico's top-flight football league, the Primera División (Liga MX), during the 2011-2012 season, which was split into Torneo Apertura and Torneo Clausura. They finished 13th in the Apertura 2011 tournament and 10th in the Clausura 2012 tournament. The team was managed by Héctor Hugo Eugui until November 2011, when Wilson Graniolatti took over for the remainder of the season.
Key Players
Striker Iván Alonso was the team's top goalscorer for the season with 25 goals across both tournaments. Other key contributors included midfielder Sinha, who served as captain, and winger Néstor Calderón. Goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera also played a significant role.
