Season Overview

The 1995 season was a monumental year for Grêmio under the management of Luiz Felipe Scolari. The club achieved its greatest triumph by winning the prestigious Copa Libertadores for the second time in its history, defeating Atlético Nacional in the final. While still celebrating their continental success, the team competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. They also reached the final of the Copa do Brasil.

Key Players

The Copa Libertadores-winning squad was full of legendary figures. Striker Mário Jardel was the tournament's top scorer with 12 goals. The team also featured talents such as Paraguayan full-back Francisco Arce, forward Paulo Nunes, midfielder Dinho, and goalkeeper Danrlei.
