Season Overview

Hertha Berlin enjoyed a strong 2001-02 season, finishing 4th in the Bundesliga and securing a place in the UEFA Cup. The club also reached the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal. Earlier in the season, Hertha BSC claimed the DFB-Ligapokal in 2001. Jürgen Röber managed the team for the majority of the campaign, with Falko Götz taking over in February 2002.

Key Players

The squad featured notable talents such as goalkeeper Gábor Király, defenders Dick van Burik and Josip Šimunić, and influential midfielders Marcelinho, Bart Goor, Pál Dárdai, and Sebastian Deisler. Strikers Michael Preetz and Alex Alves were also key figures for the vintage football shirt.
