Season Overview

Kashima Antlers experienced a highly successful period throughout the 2000s, establishing themselves as a dominant force in Japanese football. The club achieved an unprecedented domestic treble in 2000, securing the J.League championship, the J.League Cup, and the Emperor's Cup. Their success continued later in the decade, as they won three consecutive J.League titles from 2007 to 2009, further cementing their status as one of Japan's most decorated clubs.

Key Players

The 2000s saw several influential players contribute to Kashima Antlers' triumphs. Midfielder Mitsuo Ogasawara was a standout performer, notably being named MVP in the 2000 J.League Championship final. Koji Nakata was another vital midfielder during the treble-winning 2000 season. Forward Atsushi Yanagisawa and midfielder Masashi Motoyama were also key figures in the squad. Towards the latter part of the decade, defender Atsuto Uchida emerged as a significant player, contributing to their multiple league championships.
