Season Overview
The 2021-22 season was a remarkable one for Liverpool, defined by a chase for an unprecedented quadruple. The club secured a domestic cup double, winning both the FA Cup and the League Cup. Both finals were against Chelsea, and incredibly, both were decided by penalty shootouts after finishing 0-0. In the Premier League, the title race went down to the final day, with the team ultimately finishing in second place by just a single point. The season concluded with an appearance in the UEFA Champions League final, where they were narrowly defeated by Real Madrid.

Under the management of Jürgen Klopp, the team was built around a formidable squad. Alisson Becker was the primary goalkeeper, with Caoimhín Kelleher notably playing a heroic role in the League Cup final victory.
