Season Overview
The 2009-10 season was a transitional one for Manchester City, which saw a change in management midway through the campaign. The club finished 5th in the Premier League, narrowly missing out on a Champions League spot. In the domestic cups, City reached the semi-finals of the League Cup, where they were eliminated by rivals Manchester United. Their FA Cup run ended in the fifth round against Stoke City.
Key Players
Mark Hughes started the season as manager but was replaced by Roberto Mancini in December 2009. The squad featured a number of high-profile players, including top scorer Carlos Tevez, Shay Given, Vincent Kompany, Gareth Barry, and Craig Bellamy.
