Season Overview
The 2014-15 season marked a new era for Manchester United under manager Louis van Gaal. The club finished fourth in the Premier League, securing a return to the Champions League after a year's absence. In the domestic cups, United reached the sixth round of the FA Cup before being eliminated by Arsenal. The campaign was also notable for being the first since the 1989-90 season in which the club did not participate in any European competition.
Key Players
Under the management of Louis van Gaal, Wayne Rooney captained the side and finished as the top scorer with 14 goals in all competitions. The season saw the arrival of high-profile signings such as Ángel Di María, Radamel Falcao, and Ander Herrera. Goalkeeper David de Gea was a standout performer, while Robin van Persie and Juan Mata were also key contributors in attack.
