Season Overview
The 2004-05 season was a significant period for the Netherlands national football team, encompassing UEFA Euro 2004 and the start of their 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. Under manager Dick Advocaat, the team reached the semi-finals of Euro 2004. Following the tournament, Marco van Basten took over as manager. The Netherlands then embarked on a successful qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, winning their UEFA Group 1 and remaining unbeaten in the process.
