Season Overview
The 2012-13 season was a tumultuous one for Palermo, marking the end of their nine-year consecutive spell in Serie A. The club finished 18th in the league, resulting in their relegation to Serie B. The season was characterized by managerial instability, with Giuseppe Sannino, Gian Piero Gasperini, and Alberto Malesani all taking charge at various points. In the Coppa Italia, Palermo was eliminated in the fourth round.
