Season Overview
Under manager Nevio Scala, Parma were a major force in this period. In the 1993-94 season, they finished 5th in Serie A, won the European Super Cup against AC Milan, and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. The 1994-95 season was even more successful, with a 3rd place finish in the league and a triumphant campaign in the UEFA Cup, where they defeated Juventus in the final.
Key Players
This era boasted some of Parma's most legendary players. The formidable attack was led by the creative genius of Gianfranco Zola and the explosive power of Colombian striker Faustino Asprilla. They were supported by the versatile Swedish international Tomas Brolin, while the defence was marshalled by the likes of Lorenzo Minotti, Luigi Apolloni, and Roberto Sensini.
