Season Overview
The 2008-09 international season saw Poland participate in UEFA Euro 2008, their first-ever appearance in the tournament, having qualified by finishing first in their group. Managed by Leo Beenhakker, Poland was drawn into Group B at Euro 2008, where they were eliminated in the group stage after drawing one match and losing two. Following Euro 2008, the team began their qualification campaign for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, competing in UEFA Group 3.
