Season Overview
The 2001-2002 season saw PSV Eindhoven compete in the Eredivisie, where they finished second in the league standings. Under manager Eric Gerets, the club also won the Johan Cruyff Shield at the start of the campaign. In European competition, PSV participated in the UEFA Champions League group stage before moving to the UEFA Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals.
