Season Overview
The 2006-07 season saw Rangers FC finish second in the Scottish Premier League. The club reached the Quarter-finals of the League Cup and the Third Round of the Scottish Cup. In European competition, Rangers progressed to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Cup. The season also featured a change in management, with Paul Le Guen starting as manager before Walter Smith took over in January 2007.
