Description

Season Overview

This period saw a managerial transition for Scotland, with Craig Brown taking over from Andy Roxburgh in 1993. The team finished a disappointing fourth in their 1994 World Cup qualification group. However, under Brown's new leadership, this era also marked the start of the successful UEFA Euro 1996 qualifying campaign, where Scotland would go on to finish second in their group to secure a place at the tournament.

Key Players

The squad during this time featured a host of established talent from both Scotland and the English top flight. Key figures included goalkeeper Andy Goram, midfielders Gary McAllister and Paul McStay, and forwards Ally McCoist and Gordon Durie.
