Season Overview

The 2002-03 season was a memorable one for Southampton, as the club achieved its highest-ever Premier League finish, securing 8th place. Under manager Gordon Strachan, the Saints also enjoyed a successful FA Cup run, reaching the final at the Millennium Stadium. Although they were defeated by Arsenal in the final, Southampton's performance earned them qualification for the UEFA Cup the following season.
