Season Overview

Southampton FC competed in their 20th Premier League season during 2018-19, ultimately finishing 16th in the league table. The club also participated in both domestic cup competitions. They reached the third round of the FA Cup, where they were eliminated by Derby County, and progressed to the fourth round of the EFL Cup before being defeated by Leicester City. Mark Hughes began the season as manager, but Ralph Hasenhüttl took over in December 2018.
