Season Overview

AS Saint-Étienne navigated a challenging 2009-10 season in Ligue 1, ultimately finishing 17th and securing their top-flight status. The club saw a change in management during the campaign, with Alain Perrin at the helm until December 2009, before Christophe Galtier took over. In cup competitions, Saint-Étienne reached the Quarter-Finals of the Coupe de France and the Round of 16 in the Coupe de la Ligue.

Key Players

The squad featured notable talents such as attacking midfielder Dimitri Payet and dynamic midfielder Blaise Matuidi. Forward Emmanuel Rivière was also a key contributor, alongside Gonzalo Bergessio and Bakary Sako. Club stalwart Loïc Perrin was also part of the team during this period.
