Season Overview
During the 2005-2006 season, Toluca competed in the Mexican Primera División, participating in both the Torneo Apertura and Torneo Clausura. Under manager Américo Gallego, the club won the Torneo Apertura title and reached the semifinals of the Torneo Clausura. Additionally, Toluca were runners-up in the 2006 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.
