Description

The Tournament

The 1994 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, was the 15th edition of the global championship for men's national football teams. Held from June 17 to July 17, 1994, across nine venues, it set new World Cup records for total attendance and average attendance per game, figures that remain unsurpassed. Brazil ultimately claimed their fourth World Cup title, defeating Italy in the final.

The tournament featured numerous standout talents, including Brazil's Romário, who was awarded the Golden Ball, and Italy's Roberto Baggio, both instrumental in their teams reaching the final. Other notable players included Bulgaria's Hristo Stoichkov, Sweden's Tomas Brolin, and Romania's Gheorghe Hagi. The host nation's squad included players such as Alexi Lalas, Tab Ramos, and Eric Wynalda.
