Season Overview

The Netherlands co-hosted UEFA Euro 2000, where they delivered strong performances throughout the group stage, winning all their matches and topping Group D ahead of France. Under coach Frank Rijkaard, they advanced to the semi-finals but were eliminated by Italy. Following Euro 2000, the team entered qualification for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
