Description

Season Overview

The 2008-2010 period saw the Singapore national football team, known as the Lions, under the management of Radojko Avramović, who served as coach from 2003 to 2012. In the 2008 AFF Championship, Singapore entered as two-time defending champions and topped Group A after victories against Cambodia, Myanmar, and Indonesia. They were subsequently eliminated in the semi-finals by Vietnam. In the 2010 AFF Championship, the team was knocked out during the group stage.

Key Players

During these seasons, key players for the Singapore national team included defenders Baihakki Khaizan and Daniel Bennett, both consistently part of the squad. Goalkeeper Hassan Sunny was also a significant presence in the AFF Championship campaigns. Midfielder Hariss Harun was a notable player in the 2010 squad.
