Season Overview

In the tournament, South Korea was placed in Group G, where they secured a victory against Togo and a draw against eventual finalists France, but ultimately did not progress past the group stage after a loss to Switzerland. Following Advocaat's tenure, Pim Verbeek managed the team from 2006 to 2007, before Huh Jung-moo took over in 2008.
